"Red Chair"
oil 21" x 30"
SOLD
Red Chair. Wow, did this painting ever create a sensation at the opening. I'm pretty sure I could have sold it at least 3 or 4 times. It was snapped up so fast, even my own eyes rolled. It's the second in one of the newer styles that I've been working with. Draw the drawing without looking at the canvas and then put the photo away and paint the work. This is from an eclectic little restaurant in Viejo Vallarta, just a few blocks towards the sea from the Villa Del Mar. A really nice couple owned it we had a great breakfast in this really charming open air garden setting. The whole place was just esthetic. The counter, plants, red chair, oddly placed pottery and restaurant items. It just caught my eye. The painting is framed in old fence wood I brought back from Montana. The frame is actually bigger than what this picture shows but that's the price of cropping.
PS. I will find out the name of it and post it. D.ita
